This series is inspired by our love of the decrotive societal communities that line the Coasts of the Mediterranean. Spanish, Moroccan, Turkish and ultimately Ottoman inspired tile Design dating back to the 15th through the 17th Centuries. In this wild time period, with a little patronage of the Ottoman Court, ceramics were used in architecture to fill three dimensional space. The qualities that made Ottoman ceramics invaluable were their strength which challenges centuries, the unfading dynamic colors which are vividly translucent and harmonious, and the unique use of stylized motifs such as the lotus, the tree of life, plant and flower motifs which carry with it deep and meaningful explanations. so , yeah. all of this on your wrist.
